As a native of Southern California, I was raised on a steady diet of superheroes and cartoons growing up. I graduated cum laude from Cal Poly Pomona where I earned my BFA in Graphic Design and minored in both Art History and Market Management. My hobbies include watching horror movies and reading comic books in my spare time. As a graphic designer, I enjoys creating fun, bold designs while experimenting with color.
The graphic design degree allowed me the opportunity to study a wide range of visual communication styles. I found myself constantly challenging myself and learning to work and think creatively. Topics that were presented to me included typography, print, identity, illustration, packaging, web design and environmental graphic design.
The Art History minor was meant to supplement my major. By pursuing this, I was allowed to better understand and appreciate art in general. The classes I took analyzed such periods and styles like Dadaism, Romanticism, Cubism, Futurism and Expressionism.
I decided to pursue a minor in Marketing Management because I wanted to broaden my intellectual base about business. I was also interested in learning the fundamental marketing principles and practices so that I may apply them in the marketing of goods and services. A few of the practices I studied include professional selling, SEO, social media marketing and online advertising.
